Regarding the COVID-19 Virus....
NEW INFO as of 09/01/2020: Since the weather has been cooler, we have opened the front and back doors for a bit of air flow. Our appointments and new procedures are running smoothly. Thanks to our customers, the city of Evanston, and Northwestern for vigilance with masks.
Precautions and what to expect when you come for your appointment...
What we do During normal workdays:
Sweep floors.
Mop floors.
Clean towels for every customer/ new neck strip for each customer.
Sanitize all tools with 70% alcohol and Barbicide after each customer.
Clean Linen. (both customers and barbers)
Washing hands.
Clean waiting room. (chairs and table)
Additions to the above list:
Masks for our staff.
Sanitize chairs after each customer.
Wash hands after each customer.
We have removed chairs from the lobby area. (only 1 chair in each corner of the waiting room for a total of 3 chairs)
We have staggered appointments to minimize the number of people in the shop at one time. (2-3 barbers and 2-5 customers)
We have removed all magazines and other reading material.
All hard surfaces are disinfected with beach.
Hand sanitizer for customers.
Face shields will not be worn by staff HOWEVER if you request that we wear one, we will have them on hand for immediate use!
What you can do to help us follow state mandated guidelines:
A mask must be worn.
Wait in your car or outside the shop until your appointment time. (excluding those who need to come in - there is plenty of room to keep social distancing guidelines)
We ask only customers enter the shop. (no family members waiting, unless customer is elderly or a child)
Washing your hair before coming to the shop. (excluding people who are physically unable to do so)
Take your temperature before coming.
We ask that you cancel your appointment if you:
Have a temperature of over 100.
Have a Cough / fever / chills / sneezing.
